TIKEHAU – Bungalow Pacific Beach
Tikehau is a paradise atoll in the Tuamotu archipelago, 55 minutes' flight from Papeete, the capital of French Polynesia. An atoll is a type of low coral island found in tropical oceans. Atolls consist of a reef or coral barrier and several islets called motu.
Tikehau offers its visitors a true natural swimming pool, superb white and pink sand beaches stretching as far as the eye can see, a crystal-clear lagoon with a multitude of tropical fish species. Marine life is very rich and promises nature lovers beautiful spectacles.
The island is populated by approximately 500 people, and its inhabitants call it "the house of a peaceful world". The population lives essentially from fishing and copra.
